Breathtaking Surroundings

Our picturesque hilltop site and the natural beauty of the vineyards and winery are ideal for a unique and beautiful event. The magnificent, natural environment will enhance any wedding vision; a place where you can unplug from the real world, focus on and enjoy the people in your life who are invaluable, and through any of the remote, private sites we offer throughout the vineyard, enjoy a place where your event is about you.

Because we care about maintaining its beauty, we have become the first winery in New England to be completely solar powered, and as environmentalists, practice sustainable agriculture. Bluebird boxes are scattered throughout the vineyards and hayfields, as are wooduck boxes on the ponds, and homes for the barn owls, kestrels, and other wildlife natural to the area. We propagate bluebirds to keep undesirable insects at bay, maintaining the beauty and health of the vineyard. Our 40 acre farm has been certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a natural bird and wildlife habitat.

The winery and vineyards are situated on 40 pastoral acres of beautiful hilltop with a spectacular 35 mile view of the New England countryside. We are located in the Salmon River watershed area, 20 minutes South-East of Hartford, 15 miles from the New England coast and just minutes from the Moodus Resort area, Goodspeed Opera House, Mohegan Sun Casino, the Norwich Inn & Spa and a number of state parks, as well as the Airline Hiking Trail. Our close proximity to numerous outdoor activities makes for a wonderful get-away weekend for any of your guests. Events can start after closing time, at 6pm to 10pm.

Sugar Maple Lane

This is a quiet spot at the top of the vineyard, in the shade of the beautiful Maple trees at the stone wall. Sugar Maple Lane has a magnificent view and can accommodate a cozy, intimate reception, to a fun, relaxing tented one of up to 200 guests with parking. This is a beautiful location to begin your walk to the alter. Your party can make their entrance as they come up the center isle between acres of vineyard on both sides. Say your vows at the stone wall lined with Sugar Maples or at our beautifully decorated gazebo or chuppah and have your first kiss in the tree swing overlooking the entire 35 mile view. Our tree swing has become the most sought after place to propose; we have had several wedding engagements take place there. The bride and her bridesmaids will have access to our Winemaker’s loft, above the winery tasting room, for 2 hours prior the start of the event. Events can take place in any 5 hour period throughout the day.

The Bluebird Pasture

Our most magnificent area of the property, at the top of the vineyard, has a magnificent 35 mile view and allows for tenting of larger events, accommodating 125-500 guests and parking. Stroll the hayfield and walk along the path lined with Bluebird boxes, breath in the beautiful, fresh country air, and soak up all of the magnificent surroundings. Events can take place in any 5 hour period throughout the day.
